Description: Neither of these vintage “Merry Christmas “ banners have been used. Their bags were opened for photos and can easily be re-closed by replacing the removed staples. The 6 foot long embossed printed cardboard-backed foil banner was made in the U.S. by the Beistle Company. The 4 1/2 foot long embossed foil banner (priced at 49 cents) was, also, made in the U.S. in Attleboro, Mass. Today, these Christmas-type banners have been replaced with heavier, longer lasting materials. The banners of the past were not as hearty. Often, the user would become frustrated when either unfolding or folding up the letters. Alas, they did not always make it to the next holiday season. It is nice to find these two in good, usable condition — in order to bring back a touch of Christmas decor from the past.
