Description: I suspect my late sister Betsy bought these Art Deco bookends in this condition; I doubt she could have afforded 80 or 90-year-old Italian carvings in perfect shape. Sadly, I think she had friends who could have smoothed, cleaned, and polished these into greatness again, but just didn't think of asking. Please note from the last two photos that the artisan carved these two bookends from the same piece of stone, immediately next to each other; you can see the seams go from upper left to lower right, which is repeated on the other side. I've adjusted the price down considerably in the hopes that you have no such hesitation, or that you know what to do yourself. These deserve to be restored and continue on (in my opinion). Thanks for looking!Rick
