The patent number is 2,481,195 which was submitted by the RONSON ART METAL WORKS on 1 January, 1946 and granted on September 6, 1949 for the pyrophoric design of the lighter. It is monogrammed C and comes with its original cloth holder and box. It has a small rust spot on the inside where the plating has worn off where the cigarettes are held and a small amount of darkness where the flame would be (see multiple photographs).
