Description: This uncirculated 1,000 Paraguayan guarani note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Central Bank of Paraguay to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Central Bank. It is a purple note that is dated 2002, bear the signatures of Gilberto Rodriguez Garcete and Raul Jose Vera Bogado, and measures 157 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features a square symbol for the blind, a round coat of arms with a star, a round emblem with a lion and cap, and a portrait of Mariscal Francisco Solano Lopez. Its reverse side shows the Oratorio de la Virgen de la Asuncion y Panteon Nacional de los Heroes (Oratory of Our Lady of the Assumption and the National Pantheon of Heroes). Though the note does not have a watermark, it has a solid security thread. The note was demonetized in 2014.
