Description: Parquetry Marquetry Wood Box 5" x 3.75" Hand Made Trinket Jewelry Vintage This is a handcrafted vintage parquetry wood trinket / jewelry box that measures 5" x 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" tall. The inside measures 4 1/4" x 3" x 1 1/8" bottom (top 1/2"). Parquetry is a technique that combines various woods in patterns. The box has two brass hinges on the back. I don't see a maker's mark. The box has a very slight gap along front so does not close perfectly flat. See my photo of it from front side. No wiggle to hinges and item is sturdy. Has everyday scuffs.
