The situation is that the S&H fee represent postage at the time the item was listed, in addition I ate a part of the S&H (I have not typically charged for small boxes or mailers like the brown mailers 6”x 10” or 9¾” X 12¼”). These cost me $2 to $2.20 apiece and simply I can no longer can eat these fees. Most stamps can be sent via a standard envelope when properly packaged. This is a breakdown of my cost to mail a stamp via a first class letter: Envelope $0.12 Envelope Stiffener $0.00 Made from grocery boxes 1/3 to ½ display cards $0.16 to $0.25 Inner envelope $0.11 Postage $0.63 9% eBay selling fee $0.10 Total $1.12 to 1.21 My charge of $1.50 precludes me from having to change a 1000 listings every time postage fees are increased. Encased certified stamps or coins I send in small boxes and the use of a box necessitates the designation “Package” and the cheapest total cost I have experienced to date is $5.10 to which I have to add the 9% eBay sellers fee or $0.46. I will add on $0.75 just to give me a little breathing room on future postage increases. This mixture in S&H fees will remain until I get this new inventory added to my “store” this could take a couple of months. I will then go about updating the S&H fees in older listings to match these.
