Description: You are bidding on one iron or blade or cutter for a Stanley No 51 or No 52 or No 57 or No 58 wood spokeshave as pictured.I am listing a number of 51 / 52 / 57 / 58 irons, so for clarity I am calling this one reference letter B. It is marked with the STANLEY notched rectangle logo and "MADE IN USA" below that. Width is about 2-1/8". Length measured down the middle is about 1-13/16", with about 7/16" remaining between the sharp edge and the center hole.Condition is very good to excellent, with some faint patina (color) on the front, and some casting roughness on the back side. It appears to have seen very little use, the grinding marks on the bevel edge are probably the original factory grind, but there is some slight wear to the sharp edge and it will want a light sharpening. The Post Office now has several prices increases during each year, raising a few things but not everything at each increase. And they now raise their rates during the Holidays, which means early October to late January. Their big increases are in January, timed to start at the end of the Holiday rates, and this year is no exception. And it's not just the postage rates, the insurance charges and the delivery signature charges have also gone up. There is now a surcharge for Priority Mail packages over 20" long, and another for Priority Mail packages over 30" long, because those longer packages won't fit in their automatic machines. And the Post Office has discontinued the Regional Flat Rate boxes, which were often less expensive for certain sizes and weights. I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based both on what is the least expensive and on what I think is needed to protect the item. If the value is $250 or over, eBay requires your signature at delivery for the buyer and seller protections to be in effect.SALES TAX: Interstate sales tax is now the reality on all the major selling websites including eBay.
