Patent Model From June 2, 1874. Copy Of Original Application

Description: Patent model # 151,651. By Charles Chatfield from June 2, 1874. Has copies of original three pages filed with U.S. Patent Office when model originally submitted. Signed and witnessed. Having copies of original paperwork adds to desirability of the model. I thought there would be more interest in this model, do not seem the pictures do it justice. Very well made model from 150 years ago. The sash of the window (without glass) moves up and down and you can see where the opening at the bottom of sash allows the handle for the shutter to engage and draw the outside shutter closed for those cold NE nights. This was originally in “ The O. Randle Gilbert Patent Model Collection” in NY. With tag from Mr. Gilbert. He had a showing at Plymouth Museum of his patent models. I was lucky enough to acquire this model from James Julia Auctions in Maine about 25 years ago. This is a unique item. This original patent model is from June 2, 1874, has a copy of the original application and serves as a great piece of history for collectors or enthusiasts of antiques and mercantile trades. It has been well preserved, is in great working shape and 150 years old. I will be away on and off over winter months. Have grandkids that live in Europe so there are times I'm away in summer as well. So shipping could be random, email with timing if interested in any items.
