Description: Here I have for sale another collectible stated First Printing of Paul Bowles Up Above The World, published by Simon in Schuster in this hardcover with dust jacket in 1966. In my humble opinion, Bowles is one of the great 20th century writers and this one does not disappoint. My two word description of his style is "lush economy". The book is VG with clean brown boards and gilt. Some sun fading on edges of boards. Tight binding and clean, unmarked pages. Some mild foxing to endpapers. The dust jacket is VG+ with still bright colors. Some mild chipping at top and bottom of spine. and very mild edge wear. It is not price-clipped and is protected in mylar. Thanks and see my other listings: Modern Firsts, Modern Library, Everyman's Library and Oxford World's Classics.
