Description: The Pigeon Forge Pottery was founded in 1946 by Douglas Ferguson and his wife Ruth, near Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This bowl by Douglas Ferguson is in excellent condition and appears to have been minimally used. It has a roomy, flat-bottomed design that is a pretty shade of purple-lavender. It is about 8.75ā in diameter. The signature is incised in the clay: Pigeon Forge Pottery D Ferguson. There is also the letter āCā incised in the clay, above the signature. It has some glazing imperfections created during production. This bowl would make a great addition to a Pigeon Forge Pottery collection! (PLEASE SEE MY OTHER PIGEON FORGE LISTINGS.
