Description: I didn't realize the dust until posting the photos. Sorry about that. This listing is for a 1930-1940 Philco tube radio in beautiful condition. I have owned it for 48 years. When he was little my son and I would set fascinated searching for signals. The radio is listed at a tinkerer's price, and here is why. Before offering it for sale I needed to test it out, because it's not been turned on in decades. The tubes warm up and the receivers can be heard in the video I will try to post. I wanted to see if it would pull a station so, very gently, I began turning the tuning knob. At first it moved nicely. Then it stopped. I don't know why, but I was not going to continue to possibly cause irreparable damage. So that is it, the reason it's being offered for tinkerer's. The photos show it has been being well taken care of. The cord is good. The knobs are good. The carrying hand is good, and it's tight. The plastic face cover is clean and clear, although barely noticeable it slightly warped but appears to be an easy fix. It does not appear the back has ever been gotten into. Therefore, expect it will be unaltered with everything in it the same as it was new.
