Description: Philip Warren Anderson (December 13, 1923 -- March 29, 2020) was an American theoretical physicist and Nobel laureate. Anderson made contributions to the theories of localization, anti-ferromagnetism, symmetry breaking (including a paper in 1962 discussing symmetry breaking in particle physics, leading to the development of the Standard Model around 10 years later), and high-temperature superconductivity to the philosophy of science through his writings on emergent phenomena. He won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1977. Nice strong signature in blue ink on a postal cover for "Science and Industry." Autograph comes from the estate of Craig Perosi, a prominent Maryland autograph hunter. Perosi collected autographs over several decades, including sports - football, hockey, Olympic and baseball mostly - and scientist, explorer, police, FBI, author, and Nobel Prize winner autographs, among some others. With the passing of his wife last year, his remarkable, impeccably kept collection is just now coming to market. Every autograph I sell from this collection is guaranteed authentic and, as with all signed items I sell, the period of accepted returns is one year.
