Description: Phinney Walker Brass & Leatherette Wind-Up Clock & Card Storage Box. This is a really cool, vintage item. Made of metal, brass, and garnet-toned leather-like cover. The clock keeps perfect time, but will need daily winding, as any good vintage wind-up clockwork does. No built-in battery or alarm option. It is in perfect working order. The 2-hand dial clock sits within a brass-hinged lid to the box which is designed to hold two decks of cards (i.e. bridge). It can also be used instead to hold jewelry, money, or any other desired stash. Inside lining is a stiff glossy laminate that has lifted over time, which seems to be consistent with this model. A perfect project piece, too, if someone wants to affix velvet fabric to the inside. The case is in clean, lovingly cared-for, used condition. The brass has petina, and the leather-like cover has a couple of subtle nicks. The case stays shut when closed or carrying, yet opens smoothly. Heavy-duty and practical. Feels nice to the touch and to carry. Quality material and craftsmanship. Definitely a collector's piece with a solid practical use. Good to display or for classy travel. Made by Lux Clock Mfg.
