Phra Somdej Sarika Koo with Tiger Base by Luang Phor Sud, Wat Kha Long, Samut Sakhon Province, 2520 BE This revered amulet was created by Luang Phor Sud, a highly respected monk of Wat Kha Long, Samut Sakhon, in 2520 BE (1977 CE). Luang Phor Sud was known for his powerful magic, particularly his "Takror Yantra" and the famous "Roaring Tiger Yantra." Among his many followers was Tee Yai, a notorious bandit who had immense faith in Luang Phor Sud’s supernatural abilities. The amulet measures 3.7 x 2.5 cm and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, ensuring its genuineness. It has never been altered, repaired, or enhanced, making it a pristine and complete example for collectors.Luang Phor Sud and Tee Yai's Reverence Born in Roi Et Province during the reign of King Rama V, Luang Phor Sud became a novice monk at the age of 16 and traveled extensively to seek knowledge in both spiritual teachings and magical arts. He eventually settled at Wat Kha Long, where his legendary skills in mystical yantras became widely known. One of his most famous disciples was Tee Yai, a notorious criminal famous for his invulnerability and ability to escape capture. Tee Yai carried Luang Phor Sud’s protective charms, including a blessed cloth and a Takrud amulet, which allegedly shielded him from countless police attempts to apprehend him. There were rumors that Tee Yai could even vanish or become invisible, thanks to these magical items. The Day Tee Yai Met His Fate One famous story recounts the day Tee Yai lost his life. Before attempting to escape from authorities, he went to visit Luang Phor Sud at Wat Kha Long. However, unable to find him, Tee Yai left the temple. Shortly after leaving, he was ambushed by police, resulting in his death. Many believe that if Tee Yai had not lost his protective amulets, he might have survived that day. Nevertheless, some view his death as a consequence of his past actions, suggesting that karma eventually caught up with him despite his reliance on magic. The Power of Luang Phor Sud’s Amulets There are numerous stories about the miraculous protection offered by Luang Phor Sud's amulets. One such account involves a former marine who, while serving in Nakhon Si Thammarat in 2519 BE (1976 CE), was shot five times during a battle. The bullets struck directly at his tattooed Roaring Tiger Yantra, but miraculously, none of them penetrated his body, only leaving bruises. Another tale involves a disciple of Luang Phor Sud who needed surgery at Siriraj Hospital. When the doctors attempted to administer anesthesia, the needle could not pierce his skin due to the oil-blessed tattoos he received from Luang Phor. In the end, the doctors had to invite Luang Phor Sud to the hospital to perform a ritual to withdraw the protective magic before the surgery could proceed. The Legacy of Luang Phor Sud Today, the remains of Luang Phor Sud are enshrined in a glass coffin on the second floor of Wat Kha Long's prayer hall. Many devotees visit the temple daily to pay their respects to his preserved body, keeping alive the memory of his profound spiritual power and influence.
