Description: PIPER (Heidsieck) ~ Old Silver Metal Plated Copper CHAMPAGNE BUCKET w/Enameled Logos ~ France Description of item... Here we have a wonderful and uncommon vintage early French model silver-metal-plated copper CHAMPAGNE BUCKET with front and rear enameled logos advertising PIPER HEIDSIECK made by Argit for P.H. from Reims, France. The attached green and white enameled logos (photo #2,4) are complimented with attached side handle grips of silver metal grape clusters and their leaves. The bottom is faintly marked, "ARGIT ~ MADE IN FRANCE." It measures approx. 8" high x (slight oval top) 7-3/4" top long x 7-1/4" top wide (add 1" for each handle grip) x 5-1/4" in base diameter.It is in good maintained (used) condition commensurate with it's age, with no dings or dents. It has not been cleaned or polished since acquired, and is being offered in "as found" condition currently showing expected scuff/rub marks here and there as well as interior silver plate loss exposing some copper and verdigris around the circular edge...not at all offensive, also an all over natural aged patina. Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown, circa 1950's or earlier possibly? This item weighs approx. 2-1/2 lbs., add 2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased. Payment and shipping...
