Description: In French, pique assiette literally means stolen from plates. This beautiful folk-art style of mosaics, was created by Raymond Edouard Isidore. He discovered his bits of colored glass and pottery in the fields surrounding his house in Chartres, outside of Paris, and spent hislife covering every surface of the inside and outside of the house and his garden area. His home is a popular tourist attraction and is known as “Maison Picassiette”. This creation was made in the same manner of broken and hand cut, vintage, fine china pieces.
