Plastic Molded Art (PMA) Dressed Dress Me 1950s 8” Show Case Doll

Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This little doll is a PMA Show Case doll (similar to the Ginny dolls), which was made in the 1950s, making her approximately 70 years old at the time of this writing. According to online reference, these types of dolls came in a two-sided square box with clear cello on the front to store and show off the doll and the backside to store her additional outfits. She stands approximately 8 inches tall and is unmarked. She has a hard plastic jointed body with a swivel head, jointed slightly curved arms and straight legs. She has a glued on brown mohair wig, brown arched eyebrows, big blue open and close sleep eyes with molded eyelashes, a little button nose, rosy cheeks, and a closed rose-colored mouth. She also has the typical molded skin-colored shoes under her vinyl shoes. Her body, wig and outfits are in very good condition, but her original box, especially the cello cover does show wear, so I placed some transparent tape on the tears/corners to keep it on. However, the handle is still intact. She also has a very faint mark on her head from a deteriorated rubber band around her mohair wig. She comes in her original box and wearing her original white dress with multi-colored polka dots, with matching panties, and white vinyl shoes. She also comes with an original shear pink dress with pale white polka dots and adorned with ric-rac and lace, an original sheer navy-blue dress with ornate white lace collar and adorned with white lace on the sleeves and hem and matching navy-blue panties, and her white hat adorned with a red ribbon.
