They will read certain games but not others, or you will hear a sceeching noise while playing which is the noise of your disc getting ruined. You do not have to buy from us, but I highly recommend buying from a seller that changes both the laser and the ribbon at least. Trade in your faulty PS2: The assumption is you are buying this system to replace your faulty one.
