Description: A sweet little chalk pastel of a lovely mountain and lake scene by J. H. Hyndman. It certainly appears to be a plein aire painting, perhaps of the California Sierras or Colorado Rockies. Signed, lower right, in block letters with a paper label on the back. Original backing still in place supported with cellophane tape. Image is unfaded and well drawn. This picturesque pastel is housed in its original wood frame that has some nicks, scratches and missing paint, not uncommon for a work that is likely 70+ years old. The image size is 6" by 8" though some of it is obscured by the frame. The framed dimensions are approximately 7 inches by 9 inches. A nice addition to any pastel collector. Inquiries are encouraged.
