She is best remembered as the founder (in 1912) and an editor until her death of Poetry: A Magazine of Verse. Morton Dauwen Zabel (1901-1964) was an American academic and literary critic. He worked for Poetry: A Magazine of Verse and rose to become the editor-in-chief from 1936 to 1937. He taught at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro from 1944 - 1946, then at University of Chicago from 1947 until 1964. Hardcover has salmon colored paper boards, but no dust jacket. Spine has been lost as well as ffep, repaired with green library tape. Front page remaining has gift inscription/details. No other marks within text noted. Pages at front have been taped to prevent loss. Paper is light weight and has browned. Cover shows wear through paper at edges. Interior appears complete and securely bound.
