The Poor Richard Club was a private club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose members were mostly members of the advertising industry. The club bestowed an annual Gold Medal of Achievement to several celebrities, including several U.S. Presidents. he club's major event was its annual banquet, at which the members presented an annual award for public service. This is a souvenir plate commemorating the 55th Anniversary Dinner in 1961 honoring William H. Vaugh, President of the Eastman-Kodak Company. The dinner was held at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. The plate measures approximately 9" x 7". At the top, it specifies the honoree information, location and dates, the center section depicts Eastman-Kodak graphics and information, and at the bottom, it credits the sponsors Curtis Publications. On the back, it is marked Custom Design by Friendliness Incorporated Media, PA. A neat piece of history that appeals to Kodak collectors, Camera buffs, and Philadelphia historians.
