Description: This is a beautiful hand painted Portuguese folk art plate, 9.75" diameter with a Brown mono print border #3. This Vintage slip-ware plate looks like it has tin glaze which is such a beautiful and lustrous bright white glaze. There are a few manufacturing defects near the holes made to hang it in on the underside of the rim in one place. The hand-painted artwork on the front of this plate is a fantastic study of European folk art, with a woman in a pointy 17th century hat, puffy sleeves, puffy waist coat and breaches staff one simple blue line at the top of the curve and a brown mono-print border at the rim. Shipped with UPS Ground. No defects other than those created when the glass was put on. There’s no evidence of this plate ever being hung. it is new old stock.
