Description: This tall mid-century stoneware vase signed by Pottery Craft USA is in excellent condition. The vase was handcrafted at Pottery Craft’s workshop in California. Decorated in neutral tones, it is streamlined in shape and features a rich dark brown geometric design. The dark design stands out on a mottled beige/tan background with an oatmeal-textured glaze. Some attribute the design of this vase to well known ceramic artist Robert Maxwell (1932-2012). He began a brief relationship with Pottery Craft in 1969, and the company continued to manufacture pottery in his style after his departure. Standing a full 11 1/4” tall, the vase measures 4 1/2” in diameter at the base and 3 5/8” at the opening. Weighing 1 pound 14 ounces, it is solid without being burdensomely heavy. This vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains or repairs. The Pottery Craft USA mark is impressed on the side near the lower rim.
