It belonged to the grandmother of a friend who took amazing care of her china and crystal and had been carefully stored away for several decades. This cake platter is in very good vintage condition with a lightly crackled finish (crazing) that is typical of porcelain objects of this age. The crackling can only be noticed upon very close examination or with a magnifying glass.
