As per June, 1945 Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engine Tools Catalog P1, this Special Tool was made for Starter and Generator Nuts on R985, R1340, R1830, R2000 and R2800 Engines. It can obviously be used on any 9/16” nut that is difficult to get to.
