Description: Please note this is a PREORDER... you will probably have a bit of a wait...And this listing is for 6 (SIX) eggs, because of molt season. :'( 6 eggs of Isabel-Lavender Laced English Orpingtons, that might hatch out some Gold Laced chicks. (So far all 2024 customers have hatched all ILO-coloured chicks.)No extras... really... no extras. :( These eggs ship from Upstate New York, so please check weather conditions for your delivery route. This listing is for 6 eggs from our Pet Quality Isabel-Lavender Laced English Orpington pens. These eggs might hatch out some Gold Laced English Orpington chicks, due to foundation genetics, improvement outcrossings, and based on messages from one Orpington Breeder Ebay Egg seller who purchasedthese last spring and stated she hatched out mostly "brown chicks." We have been hatching this variety for 7 years. We have 2 Roosters to every 10 hens, and very high fertility rates. Genetic background info for Isabel-Lavender Laced: The original foundation stock used to create this colour pattern was Gold Laced and solid Lavender, so you might hatch out Black Laced Gold chicks. This colour is also called Lavender Laced, Isabel Laced, and Isabel-Lavender Laced, as it is technically a "Gold" chicken with "Isabel" Lacing, due to some magical dilution gene that my brain does not understand. ***Please note that last spring an Orpington breeder egg-seller/buyer reported a high percentage of Gold Laced chicks hatching out from the eggs that I shipped to her last year. Although she complained, filed ebay claims against me, and left me negative feedback, she did grew out a successful flock from my eggs and is now sellingeggs on ebay from my Isabel-Lavender Laced birds. She was unkind to me on a personal level, however, her eggs are from my birds. They are the same exact quality and the same exact genetics. Therefore, I do recommend that if you are in Texas, or near Texas, that youbuy Isabel Lavender Laced eggs from her. Why would I recommend this breeder? Because her flock is my stock, and buying "locally" with a shorter delivery distance will help improve your hatch rates. I see it as recommending my own birds from a source that isgeographically closer to you. This breeder said that she hatched 60% Gold Laced chicks. So, you might get a lot of Gold Laced English Orpingtons from my eggs.I have included the breeder's photo from her cabinet incubator hatch last year, that she submitted to an ebay claim, so that you can see ahead of time what you might be hatching from these eggs. I have also added a photo from a new 2024 buyer who was kind enough to send me a picture of her hatch of100% Isabel-Lavender Laced chicks. Every few years we breed back to an exceptional Black Laced Gold Rooster to improve type, lacing quality, and colour. Please note that due to the colour genetics of this variety/our flock, you probably will hatch out some Black Laced Gold (Gold Laced) chicks. Whatever you decide to call this variety, know that these birds are GOLD-based birds. They are not not not Silver-based. Our original stock was F4 from an amazing breeder of all Lavender Orpington patterns, and we added more fromanother breeder who had continued working on the colour and lacing for 3 years. We have been working with this colour and the recommended improvement outcrosses for 7 years.A much better quality version of this colour is at Oceanside Orpingtons, so if you want to be as close to perfectionas possible here in the States, check out the birds at Oceanside. I am not a professional chicken breeder, and I am not a pro ebay seller.I am just a single parent of 5 trying to raise nice kids and make ends meet in a fun and meaningful way. Please also know that I can not respond to messages everyday. Sometimes life gets hectic and it takes 3 or 4 days for me to get a chance to get to wifi and check my ebay. I do the best I can. Here is my Full-Disclosure "Transparent" warnings:* I have negative feedback from an angry ebay Orpington breeder/egg-seller who did not like her chick colour ratios for this listing, stating she hatched too many "brown chicks." She is however now selling Isabel Lavender Laced eggs from my beautiful birds that she hatched out last year. Please be aware that this breeder/egg-seller strongly advises ebayers not to buy anything from me, which you can read in the negative feedback she left me.Some of her neg feedback was removed by ebay for policy violations, but some of it is still there.I believe that her negative feedback instructs everyone to "RUN." Perhaps she meant for you to run away from me over to her isabel lavender laced listing: but they are the same genetics, and the same source of beautiful birds, so choose your seller based on your location. Please note that buying her eggs and my eggs will not diversify your gene pool, because they are the same exact gene pool. Her eggs are from my birds that she bought last year.I do recommend that egg buyers try to buy from their own coast, so if you are east coast or west coast, or on the Texas "coast," you might get better hatch rates if you buy from your own geographical area. The pictures in this listing are of our parent birds, our grow-outs, and our 2023 chicks.I do not guarantee the colour of the chicks that will hatch from these eggs. They could be Gold Laced, or Isabel-Lavender Laced, or both. Or plaid. Or turquoise. A mystery surprise.I also do not guarantee lacing quality. It might be full or partial or spangled or absent.Chicken genetics is very complicated and always throwing curve balls.Your hatch results of the eggs you receive from me might not match my listing photos at all. Please be ready for an unexpected result.I am trying to be thorough and fully transparent, and letting you know that you might hatch any colour. Please read all of my negative feedback before you buy anything from me, so you can decide if you feel comfortable taking the risk, or if it is in your best interest to purchase from one of the many other egg sellerswith better feedback.* I am "advertising" that these eggs might not hatch chicks the colours you see in my pictures.* If you want perfect Isabel Lavender Laced stock that breeds true, do not buy from me.I highly recommend Oceanside Orpingtons...they are professional, breed to SOP, and specialize in all Lavender patterns. So, consider if you are comfortable with all of my disclosures and disclaimers before you bid or buy. And know that there will possibly be many Gold Laced chicks in your hatch of these eggs...possibly more than you want or expect (according to that one Orpington Breeder from last year who now sells eggs from my chicks that she filed return claims for and left negative feedback about.)I have tried to add everything to this listing that I may have missed in my previous listings, and I have repeated some things 2 or 3 times, to be sure my listing description is thoroughly and completely accurate. Please please please ask all the questions you can think of before you buy anything from me, so that you completely understand what you may or may not be getting. Important info that you can research on the internet: If a shipped egg does not develop, it does not mean the egg is not fertile. What it actually means is that the fertile egg that was packed up and shipped out to you, sustained too much internal damage to be able to develop; the blastoderm was damaged during the USPStravel, and was rendered nonviable. Our eggs are 100% fertile here at the homestead; our eggs have a home development rate of 100%,and a hatch rate of 97%. If your shipped eggs from us do not develop, it is due to shipping damage. By bidding or buying you from me, you are acknowledging that you read my listing in full, and understandeverything herein. Before you bid or buy from me please message me with all the questions you have, and know that I will respondas soon as I can. If you bid or buy from me, I will message you to request your confirmation that you have read my entire listing, and agree to all of my terms and policies, and know that you might end up with a lot of gold laced chicks, or some other colour I haven't thought of, or no chicks at all. You will have the opportunity to cancel your order before I ship the eggs. (No harm, no fowl. :D) I know that you know this part, but I have to include it:Shipping wreaks havoc on egg viability and hatchability. If you buy hatching eggs, you might have a ZERO percent hatch. If you buy my eggs, you acknowledge that fact, and understand the risk, and you accept that possibility that they may amount to nothing. Some redundancy:Please know that development and hatch rates can never be guaranteed with shipped eggs. The trip from our post office to you is rough for eggs in many ways that can change from each shipment, and you can get anywhere from zero to 50% hatch. The internet says the average hatch for shipped non-bantam eggs is about 30%... That means 3 chicks out of 10 shipped eggs is a GOOD result. But ZERO is still normal, and if you bid or buy it means you accept that fact and risk. I hatched shipped eggs for 5 years while building my breeding stock. Ironic little-known fact: I am rubbish at hatching shipped eggs. I typically get between ZERO and 3 chicks per dozen shipped eggs. (mostly zero.) If you are new to hatching shipped eggs, please google or you-tube it. It is more involved than hatching your own freshly laid eggs that have not been tossed around the mail room, and jostled in a truck for hundreds of miles, and left overnight with no heating or cooling for several days, and possibly x-rayed. I highly recommend the article by the Alabama Poultry Association, on hatching shipped eggs; it is available on the internet and social media. If you need your eggs held at your post office for you to pick up, please include that in the message when you pay. We only ship to the lower 48 U.S. States only; no Hawaii, no Alaska. We will always pack your eggs very carefully. Eggs are shipped via insured Priority Mail. If your package arrives damaged, you can easily file a claim yourselfwith your local USPS or on the official USPS government website, and they will reimburse you directly. There are no returns or refunds or replacements on eggs. Your eggs are INSURED by USPS not to arrive damaged. If your eggs arrive cracked or broken, all you need to do is file a claim directly with USPS, and they will issue you a refund. Please do not purchase my eggs unless you understand the egg shipping risks, the USPS claims option, and the fact that we do not replace or refund. And, eggs are not ever guaranteed to hatch. They experience internal unseen damage just from riding in the delivery truck. Egg sellers are not responsible for Buyers' hatch rates. Please read this listing all the way to the bottom BEFORE bidding on or buying my eggs. ***Just a Heads Up... Check the weather for your shipping route. These ship from Upstate NY. The weather can be an added risk, and as you know there are no guarantees on eggs, and of course there are no returns.***
