The body is made of sturdy, maintenance-free ABS resin for a sound similar to that of natural wood. The key work is what we have grown to expect from Yamaha - simply superb! The addition of the split-e allows the player super easy production of the third octave e. In our experience there is no better student piccolo being made. We have re-padded this Yamaha Piccolo using Pisoni GoreTex Pads which extend the life of any piccolo repad. Of course, we have cleaned, polished and play-tested the instrument for perfection!
