Hardcover with dust jacket. The author has signed his name on the half title page, just below the printed black bar. It appears the signature was written using a medium thickness black marker. This was flat signed, no other inscription and no personalization from the author (note a former owner wrote her name and address on a different page - the front flyleaf). Scott Turow's first novel, this was made into a movie released in 1990 starring Harrison Ford, and later into a miniseries on Apple TV. Turow went on to write other books, many taking place in the fictional town he first described in this book. Turow won many awards as one of Chicago and of Illinois favorite authors.
