This jug is in excellent condition as I did not find any chip, crack or repair. Marked on bottom is SARREGUEMINES/3331/527/03. Like most antique majolica, it has some crazing and discoloration. A similar pitcher can be found on page 69 in "Majolica Figures by Helen Cunningham, 1997" and is described as difficult to find by the author as: "Female versions of character jugs are usually more valuable, since fewer were manufactured, circa 1880."
