Up for your consideration is this Wonderful Vintage PRECISION 612 TUBE/BATTERY TESTER With Original Operation Manual & LOTS of Extra PAPER WORK. There is a BLUE that contains a Complete tube test data settings for all tubes. This unit is in Very Nice Cosmetic Condition that is cleaned inside & out. All the controls, switches were lubricated & are in great condition & SEEM TO WORK AS INTENDED. This tester has been tested with a Few different types/styles of tubes for functionality & seems to be working fine. THE 5Y3 TUBE INSIDE THIS TUBE TESTER IS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. THERE IS ALSO INCLUDED A "VIBRACHEK MODEL V4 TUBE ADAPTER WITH INSTRUCTIONS.AGAIN PLEASE LOOK AT """ALL""" THE PICTURES "INSIDE & OUT" OF THIS TUBE TESTER THAT I HAVE PROVIDED. As I stated this tester "SEEMS/APPEARS" to work and tested with real tubes. Now I believe the PRECISION test many different sizes/styles of tubes because of how many different sockets this tester has. There weren't many testers made that can cover this many tube bases. Most notable among the tube bases are the antique large pin tube types and modern Duodecar tubes. I "BELIEVE" NOT POSITIVE ABOUT THIS" but the 612 can test the following: 4-, 5-, 6- & 7-pin large base (pre-WW2 tubes)8-pin Octal8-pin Loctal7-pin miniature9-pin miniature (Noval)10-pin miniature (9+center pin, Decar)5-pin Nuvistor7-pin Nuvistor12-pin Compactron or Duodecar9-pin NovarThis covers most of the American consumer tubes made including early audio & radio, modern rock 'n roll, B&W TV, color TV, ham radio and horizontal sweep tubes that were (and still are) sometimes illegally used in CB linear amps. This tester seems to works and again it is in very good condition. It looks like this unit didn't get much use. Pictures show this instrument testing good. Results Probably can VERY From One Tube Tester To Another? The sockets are tight, have no visible corrosion, and there are no intermittent contacts. All the switches and controls seem to work fine.The roll/scroll chart works Great. NOW WITH ALL THIS BEING SAID ON JUST HOW NICE THIS TESTER IS & IT IS A NICE TESTER & SEEMS TO WORK/FUNCTION FINE BUT WITH ALL MY VINTAGE ELECTRONICS IT IS BEING SOLD IN AS ID CONDITION WITH "NO WARRANTY". THIS UNIT HAS NOT BEEN CALIBRATED & MAY NEED ADDITIONAL WORK ETC? Because this is a vintage tester it is in GREAT CONDITION & the Blondish color wood cabinet is solid & tight but is does have marks and wear from age and use.
