Description: Description: Antique hardcover book "Prince of the House of David" written by Rev. J. H. Ingraham. Published by Henry Altemus Company in Philadelphia. There is no date of publication in the book. I have done some research and believe it to be from the early 1900s, although some indicators lead to an earlier date. Feel free to do your own research! There is a beautiful illustration opposite the title page which is also printed in color.Front cover has gold colored guilding and a vibrant flower in the center. Color has held up very nicely. A "Non-Voter's Pledge Card" dated 1908 was placed between pages 208-209. This will be left with the book since it has left its imprint. Unique card that was part of the "anti-saloon movement" in Elgin, IL! Condition: Good condition for a book of this age! The best way to assess the condition is by zooming in on pictures and looking carefully.Light wear to corners and edges. Some on spine as well. Binding has held up very well - all pages are intact and in good shape. No rips or tears. Some discoloration of pages due to aging. Name written in pencil on first page. Heavy discoloration on pages 208 and 209 from pledge card. Bid with confidence! Please review all pictures to make your own assessment of the item's condition and ask any questions prior to purchase. I am happy to combine shipping with any other purchase whenever possible, please message prior to making payment in order to do so.
