Description: This unique cutting board features the Pilgrim Monument along with the shoreline of Provincetown Harbor in Cape Cod Bay. The monument was completed in 1910 and commemorates the landing of the Mayflower in Provincetown in 1620 and is the most visible landmark in town. The photo that inspired this design was taken on a perfect July evening while travelling back from a wonderful dinner on our friend's houseboat moored in the harbor. This cutting board is made from Alder sourced from a Sustainable Forests Initiative Program supplier and is 8 by 12 inches and 1/2 inch thick. Additionally, only glues that are food safe once cured are used to make this board. While many commercial manufacturers use formaldehyde glue for speed of bond, only basic food-safe wood glue is used in the manufacturing process, sacrificing no loss in bond strength .A butcher block oil finish has been also been applied. Makes a great gift and is the perfect way to display charcuterie as well!
