Description: This 1979 silkscreen, "3ra Feria de Artesanias, 1979, Colegio Universitario de Cayey" is in good condition. No tears, folds or perforations. Has numerous age spots (See photos). Artist Heriberto Davila signed his name on plate (See photo) BIO: Heriberto Davila was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico in 1938. As a child he loved to draw and would watch Ramon Frade, a well respected artist also from Cayey, as he worked. While growing up, another artist Cristobal Ruiz invited him to take art classes at his studio. When he graduated from high school, he got a job painting backdrops for WAPA television. Later, he took art classes in San Juan and got to know esteemed artists such as Jose Torres Martino, Antonio Maldonado, Rafael Tufi~no and Lorenzo Homar, among others. He attended the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey campus where he earned a BA degree and where he later worked as an artist.
