Description: When we came across this unusual specimen, the first thing we saw was that when placed in an upright position it looks like the face of a Conquistador! So unusual, we had to put it in our private collection. But, now that we've enjoyed it for some time, we've decided to make it available for a nice new home. The Pyrite development blends perfectly with the quartz 'face'. Even the small natural fault line is perfect, giving the piece an appearance of a mouth. Colors or inclusions in Quartz are due to the presence of other minerals (particularly iron), combining with Quartz during its formation.
