Such slides can be taken with an ordinary (2D) camera and a slide bar.After you get your slides back from the processor in their regular 2x2 (50x50mm) mounts then you can just put these inside the aluminum frame (one comes with the viewer) or slide them through the openings of the cardboard viewer, and view them in stereo.Note that the viewer is marked "NEWMAN BROUN CORP, NEW YORK NY" as you can see. This viewer is identical to the Radex viewer, and I believe Radex made these viewers for other customers as well, which explains this unusual label. I have seen this before, it is no uncommon.The Radex viewer is an all-metal viewer with large single element glass lenses. It uses available light. Of particular interest is the binocular shape which makes it possible for people to get their eyes very close to the lenses (provided that they do not wear eyeglasses).A note of caution: Some of the thicker stereo mounts do not fit easily in the metal frame.
