Well, those are good questions, especially if you have never known of them.Radio Shows are syndicated productions by one of several large and small distributors who supply broadcast product to radio stations normally during weekends when the usual air personalities have a break. Many air on Saturday or Sunday evenings or during overnight segments. They often feature some of the best known voices for their genre from across the country thus the Dick Clark's and Casey Kasem's and Rick Dees and Dick Bartley and so many others. People collect them for various reasons. Some just collect the series because they like it and want them all. Some collect their favorite artists or genre of music. Rather than an album by the artist or a compilation bought at Wal Mart or downloaded through iTunes or wherever, they have a unique presentation of their favorite artist or music not available anywhere else and always with dj presentations which were very entertaining. Some collect interviews with their favorite artists as most shows had interview segments. Some collect commercials especially old car commercials but certainly not limited to only those. AND, these shows are in limited quantity. They were pressed just for syndicated stations in the United States. Many have just a few still in circulation. Some of the more popular shows may have as many as a few hundred of each week's show that survived but think about it. A few hundred for some 200 million Americans and millions of overseas collectors who look for unique presentations of their favorite artists or form of music is about as rare as rare can be. AND, that isn't the whole story! Many stations just threw them away after airing because they could never be aired again due to the dated commercial content and the lack of storage space at most radio stations (Believe me, I know! I work at one!)SO they are increasingly hard to find. They were first distributed on reel to reel tape if the show goes back that far into the 60's, then later on lp, later on CD and even later (after 2000 for most shows) on CDR. Now they are not available at all to collectors since they are distributed by digital download much like you get your music from iTunes. These shows become rarer and rarer every day because the people who buy them hold on to them and the people who sell them, like me, are running out of them. My best contact for these shows is running very low and when he is gone I will be at the mercy of finding a good deal here and there but never from a regular source. The shows that you get now and hold on to will never decrease in value and only increase. I have prided myself since the start to provide the best and fairest cost with a no holds barred guarantee that you will be happy or I refund your money. I sell them for near what I bought them for. I give volume discounts and discount postage always. As the postal service increases their rates, my shipping rates over the years has decreased. And, I have one of the biggest radio show libraries in the world consisting of over ten thousand of shows, so many that I don't even know all that I have and am sometimes amazed when I go to look for one show and find another that I did not realize I had. Finally, it is Americana at its best. Whether the show be from the 60's or 2000's, rock, countdown, oldies, country, classical, religious, jazz or big band, it is unique and home grown. And you just can't find them anywhere. Even record stores that still exist will rarely have any. Radio shows are wonderful representations of the real golden age of radio at least music wise. And every one you buy is an original, not a copy, not a remake - all are limited editions in the hundreds at most and most much less. Once you get hooked, like me, it is a love affair for life! Welcome to the Club! OK guys and gals, in this outing, A RARE TREAT!!!! I recently came across many of the classic LEEZA GIBBONS HOLLYWOOD CONFIDENTIAL SHOWS, one of the most enjoyable series that ever aired. It came on three CD's in beautiful condition, silver backed for extra fidelity, and played only on their air date at the syndicating radio station. You can see a generic picture of the cue sheets and CD's on the listing picture. (Every show looks exactly the same as the sample in the picture.) This show was the followup to Leeza's top 25 countdown show which shifted gears from countdown to top songs of the day which gave Leeza a better opportunity to showcase artists with interviews along with show business celebrities. The show was syndicated by the United Stations Radio Networks, weekly, and comes with cd's in pristine new condition and played only on the day of network broadcast. They come with their cue sheets, which are only in fair condition. First of all they are on legal size paper, a format I have never seen in cue sheets. That being said, they were hard to fold to contain the cd's that went with them so they are pretty rumpled! I am proud to offer you an opportunity to have some of these rare shows for your own collection. You will especially love them if you are a fan of the 90's and early 2000's These are genuine collector's items that you will treasure and which will increase in value as all radio shows, especially the quality shows like Leeza's, completely disappear from the market place or become too expensive to afford.Since all shows are now distributed to stations digitally instead of on CD, these too will soon vanish. As long as I have them, I will sell them for as reasonable a price as I can, even given the almost 30% of every purchase that Uncles EBay and Paypal keep for their very own. Let me give you a little history about this show in case you don't know of it. It started in the mid 90's as the Blockbuster Top 25 with Leeza Gibbons. In 1999 Blockbuster ended its sponsorship and United Stations renamed it Top 25 with Leeza Gibbons. In 2001, the show shifted from a countdown format to a straight music format which allowed Leeza to do more theme oriented music blocks while retaining the vast interviews in both the music and entertainment industries because of her contacts. THE SHOW IS #03-39 AIRING THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 27, 2003HERE ARE THE SONGS ON THIS GREAT THREE HOUR SHOW FEATURING LEEZA:Follow Me- Uncle Kracker Why Don't You And I- Santana w/Alex Band If You Leave- OMD Bring Me To Life- Evanescence If You're Gone- Matchbox 20 Hands- Jewel Name- Goo Goo Dolls Miss Independent- Kelly Clarkson Give Me One Reason- Tracy Chapman Heaven- Live Big Yellow Taxi- Counting Crows w/Vanessa Carlton One Headlight- Wallflowers Complicated- Avril Lavigne I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For- U2 Amazing- Josh Kelley Why Can't I- Liz Phair Calling All Angels- Train Bigger Than My Body- John Mayer Dreams- Cranberries The Middle- Jimmy Eat WorldThe Remedy I Won't Worry- Jason Mraz I'm The Only One- Melissa Etheridge Then The Morning Comes- Smash Mouth Drift Away- Uncle Kracker w/Doby Gray Are You Happy Now- Michelle Branch White Flag- Dido How You Remind Me- Nickelback Unwell- Matchbox 20 Kiss From A Rose- Seal Here Without You- 3 Doors Down.THIS IS A UNIQUE AND RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN SUCH A TRIBUTE AND IN A PRESENTATION NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. MOST PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN KNOW THAT RADIO SHOWS EXIST. THEY WERE PUBLISHED IN LIMITED EDITION TO SYNDICATING STATIONS ONLY. THERE ARE VERY FEW AROUND TO FIND. THEY ARE REAL AMERICANA AND UNIQUE AND RARE. This is the genuine original show that was sent to the radio station for airing. It is NOT an unauthorized copy but the Real McCoy!!! I personally guarantee that every radio show that I sell is the original show sent to stations. You are truly buying a show that will only increase in value and I am selling them at a price very close to what I paid for it. It just doesn't get much better than that, music fans!!!! The show comes with its original national commercials including: ABC Karen Sisco Zantac Starbucks Auto Zone Retail AND MORE! And if you don't like the national commercials (none of those boring local commercials are in the show), just flip to the next track and all the great music interviews and features return. Many of my collector friends get my shows for the neat old commercials they collect. Remember that this and all the radio music shows that you see on eBay are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere. It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining. As well, it is a piece of radio and music history. You just aren't going to find these shows around very much longer as everything is now digitized and downloaded for play and shows are no longer sent out on CD's except for locally produced religious shows. Think of what they will be worth in a few years! (IF you wanted to sell.) I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price. It is a great show and would be a valuable addition to your collection. As always, for U.S. And my International friends, I charge only shipping on the first show you buy so the more you buy the more money you will save. Good Luck and God Bless You.
