Description: Very Rare, 1895 Antique Victorian Advertising Sturdy "Plastic" Pocket CalendarDESCRIPTION: Scans show it all.....unusual, thin antique 1895 advertising pocket calendar. Appears to be made out of some sort of thin, stiff antique plastic. Not sure what it is, but stiff like some sort of plastic, to withstand pocket use and wear. Pocket size, so would be a convenient advertising item. Nice rounded corners.Printed at the top is "Brooklyn Watch Case Co., the oldest, largest, & most reliable makers of solid gold watch cases". They would have passed this on as an advertising item or with the purchase of a watch from a dealer. The calendar was made by Weeks & Campbell Co, located in N.Y.A very early advertising piece, and certainly a useful one. VERY NICE WITH THE 1895 DATE AND ALL THE DAYS & MONTHS. Measures about 3 3/8" x 1 3/4" wide.A great addition to any antique pocket watch or antique advertising item collection!! PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS!!!
