Rare 1930s Shelley EVE Art Deco Hand Painted ROSE CAMEO FRAME CUP & SAUCER Set

Description: I am pleased to offer a vintage bone china cup and saucer set made by Shelley, England The rare EVE pattern with angular cut-out handle Introduced in March 1932 Perfect example of Art Deco The set has been hand painted with a cameo style floral oval frame The cup exterior is a very soft mint green and the cup handle and base and all edges to cup and saucer are trimmed in burnished gold The interior of the cup has a pale yellow lustre finish This set most certainly initiated as a blank by the factory and then purchased for ladies to decorate Both pieces are in excellent undamaged condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, hairlines or restoration and both pass the ping test of bone china perfectly There is some wear to the gold edges and the cup handle in some spots and a couple of pin prick size bits of black on the saucer - please study photos Cup measures 2 7/8" tall at sides and is 4 1/4" across including handle; the saucer is 5 1/2" across Marked as shown in photo with Shelley green shield mark and registration number details and both pieces have the initials of the painter MJS in gold This wonderful set would make a great addition to complete your Shelley teacup collection Returns accepted only if item not as described or grossly misrepresented.
