Description: Offered is this very rare late 19th century full box of Swedish Elixer Of Life by Drefs Drug Store in New York. Inside of box is various herbs of who knows what kinds as this predates laws requiring display of contents as this was made in the CURE era of American medicine. Interesting instructions as it requires the herbs to soaked in only GOOD whiskey. Box still retains its original label and outer box wrapper. Apparently there is no inner bag as some herb dust has come out of the box where there is some missing wrapper at the corner but nothing severe as it still retains 99.9999% of original contents. I was tempted a little bit to make some elixer as it would be a blast from the past but I will leave that to someone a bit more brave than I. There is no other on the market in the past or present likely being the only example of this elixer mix to have survived over time making for a rare edition to your collection!
