Description: RARE American Girl Doll Molly, Pleasant Company, White Body, 1986, Original Here, for the American Girl Doll collector is a 1986 RETIRED and RARE American Girl Doll Molly, made in West Germany for Pleasant Company--in EXCELLENT highly collectable condition. She has the RARE WHITECLOTH BODY of the earliest Molly dolls. She appears to have not been played with. She DOES-NOT have her original box. The large arch lettering "Pleasant Company" is stamped on the back of her neck. Long white flat neck strings are intact. White muslin body is very clean with no stains or odors. She has no marks or stains that I can see on her face and limbs. Molly’s leg limbs are not very loose, her arms are tighter- She does stand independently. Her face is a softer vinyl then you see in newer dolls. Long soft brown hair is in excellent condition and styled in braids with one original red ribbon- one is missing. Molly unfortunately has a touch of silver-eye in her left eye. She comes wearing her complete meet outfit: navy wool skirt with paper tag that reads "made in West Germany 1986," white dickey and argyle sweater, white bloomers, white socks, and black Mary Jane shoes. The socks and bloomers have some discoloration from age and elastic in bloomers is loose. Take a close look at Molly's glasses, this is the only time I have seen these- she also comes with the red felt carrying case. She DOES NOT have any original paperwork or cards, letters, pictures. The books are newer- including book 1, 3, 4, 5. A gorgeous collectable Molly! Rare to find an early Molly in such wonderful condition!
