This is ax RARE Antique 19th Century Phalibois Musician Quartet Automaton Music Box…It measures overall 19 inches wide x 19 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches deep at the base…The winder key inserts on the right side to wind the automaton and the pull string on the left side rear winds the music box and slowly retracts in as the music box winds down…The other two pull knobs on the left turn on the automaton motion and the music box on and off…The figures all move while playing including their arms and heads…The back of the glass dome has scenery painted on and there is a foreground tree landscape as well that may be a repaint…There is an older sticker on the bottom from C&K Eric Antique Music Box Restoration so it has been serviced in its history. Though not perfect it is still a great opportunity. The Phalibois automatons are some of the more sought after in the world and I have seen very few with 4 moving figures. A great opportunity.
