This auction is for a very unusual antique embroidered textile from Central Asia or the Caucasus region. Polychrome embroidery on red wool ground with what could be the maker's initials in one corner (see detail photo). There are a few small holes, but overall the piece is in good condition with bright colors and no noticeable fading. It measures approximately 48" x 36.5". A fine addition to any collection.
