Description: This listing is for the Rare Antique German Bisque Saxony Art Nouveau Woman Sea Shells Carl Conta Boehme figuring set. These figurines, or "fairings" were made in the mid 1800's as unique gifts for friends and family. The makers mark is stamped at the base of the item, indicating that it was manufactured by Canta & Boehme. The company made fairings between 1790 and 1937, with the makers mark changing over time. Sometime after 1850's the markings were changed to also indicate "made in Germany" origin. The sea shell design features a beautiful iridescent multi colored inner surface. There are gold tone highlights throughout to enhance and give the item a luxurious appearance. A beautiful woman with flowers in her hair is featured in the center.
