RARE Antique Handpainted Blue On White Eggshell Porcelain Tea Cup & Saucer

Description: This is one of the most exquisite tea cups I have ever seen. It is a delicate thin bone china. There is hand painted light blue tropical foliage around the inside and outside of the top of the cup and the saucer. Around the base of the cup appears to be palm trees and houses (?). The handle is bamboo shaped and split at the top. Best estimate of age is mid 1800s. All have I been able to translate of the characters on the bottom is 'Japan'. There are no chips or cracks or nicks.
