Huse (Daily Evening Union Press) Location: Newburyport, Massachusetts INFO: Full Name: Daniel Webster Pickard Born: June 7, 1830 Son of: Samuel & Sarah (Coffin) Pickard At an early age (12) he became interested in religious work. He was deeply interested the idea of the "Soul's Salvation". In this, he made a public profession of his religious faith while in Platteville, Wisconsin (1849). He prepared for college in the academy at Lewiston Falls. Graduating in 1848 and moving on to the Bangor (Maine) Theological Seminary (1852) The next year he spent as a Resident Licentiate at Andover. Approved by Penobscot Association December 16, 1851. Ordained at Groveland, September 29, 1853 June of 1856, he left his people journeying to Illinois and Wisconsin. When he arrived in Jacksonville, Illinois. He suffered from a seizure with a hemorrhage of the lungs. Sadly, he had to dismissed from duty on January of 1857 due to ill health. He died on February 6, 1860.
