Description: From the estate of my late mother, who owned an import shop in the late 1970s. She traveled all over the world buying and this piece is from her shop days. Stunning antique silver (over copper?) Tibetan ceremonial belt. Measures just over 33" in length. The belt has forty link components not including the main center piece and back buckle. Center piece is an ornate bow with a carnelian dangle featuring a crown and leaves. Truly a one-of-a-kind piece. It appears completely intact and original, but I am not an expert! There is some silver patina loss as is typical for pieces of this age. Ornate filagree center piece (bow w/dangle) measures 4 3/4" x 4". Each link component measures 1/2" x 1 1/4". No maker's mark or indication of metal purity. Beautiful piece for display. Smoke free home.
