Description: On offer is this original German didactic botanical model flower. This one is a Rare Botanical Model of the Pea Flower, Pisum Sativum, Paravia. 34cm tall 13cm diameter across base. This was made to help with the teaching of botany in the classroom. This one is a large-scale to help see what makes one family of plants distinct from another. This model is made of wood, plastic and plaster and sits on a ebonised circular wooden base. This is a direct copy in build quality and looks of an identical pea flower by Brendell that sold online for £2988. (See last photo) The petals and main body of the flower are metal the stem of the flower is wooden and the seeds and stamen are wood, metal and plaster. It is made in incredible detail and as well as being scientifically correct and interesting as an educational model it is extremely decorative and very rare. Brendel Flowers sell for anything between £2000 and £5000 each. They are highly collectible And these mid century models now sell for as much as £400-£600. But I’m selling this one for half that. So grab a beautiful taking piece for the home. A one off. Stunning example of botanical plant education.
