Description: Bryce, Higbee, & Co., in Pittsburg, PA, operated from 1879 until 1907. In 1897 the Crescent pattern was introduced. The motif featured stars/rosettes, circles, and arches/crescents. A year later the New Crescent pattern followed with diamond point disks and rays, instead of star disks and plain crescents. Offered here is a compote with the early 1897 Crescent pattern. It measures 7” in diameter, 5 ¾” high, and has a 4” diameter base. The condition is excellent with no chips or nicks. This is a scare 1-year pattern and is very difficult to find. This compote is a wonderful item to add to an EAPG collection. You may never find another.
