Description: Rare, original, round 19th century Indian themed business card from a shop that sold American Indian items, likely Iroquois and Tuscarora beadwork, whimsies, etc. Found this online about the shop: Paper Collar Joe, one of the most famous con men in American history, was born to a Polish father and a German mother, and was raised in Niagara Falls, New York. Joe’s father sold souvenirs and Indian artifacts, and became the leading merchant of trinkets at the popular resort. The business he built was eventually handed down to his daughters, and the store became famous in their names as “Libbie & Katie’s”. As a popular resort on the Canadian border, Niagara Falls attracted grifters and crooks of all kinds, from those that came to prey on the crowds to those that were in transit between one country or the other, escaping authorities. Dates from approx. 1850-1880. Measures 2.5 inches in diameter. Shipping to USA address only. I'll ship your purchases in a rigid package via first class mail with tracking.
