Description: For sale is a vinyl record by Rare Earth titled "Ecology", originally released in 1970 by Rare Earh Records. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of the vinyl and any insert(s) or original inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. In the dead wax between the labels and the last track is etched "Audio Matrix", along with "dH", followed by the matrix numbers 1-D/1-D, signifying that this record was lacquered at Audio Matrix of The Bronx, New York, by Don Holden, before early stampers were used to make this record. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. The cover is graded as Excellent, because of corner blunts, faint ring wear and shelf rubs. The spine has a little color loss at the corners from these corner blunts. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good because of superficial sleeve marks and hairline surface scratches, none of which can be felt with a fingertip, but still with surfaces that are shiny and bright, without any scuffs, smudges or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play-grading this record between Very Good (Side One) and Very Good Plus (Side Two) because of low levels of surface noise, more noticeable between tracks and during quiet sections of playback, but never over-powering the vocals or the music, along with a pop on Side Two. It plays all the way through without any skips or lock-ups from start to finish. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to a anyone's collection. I have more Motown and Rock and Roll albums, as well as records of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
